Group departures are pre-scheduled tours on fixed dates, led by a tour manager, where you travel alongside 15 to 30 other travelers. Many people who join solo say it ends up being one of the best parts of the trip — you're not forced to socialize constantly, but there's always company if you want it.

You can absolutely join solo — a large portion of travelers on our group tours sign up individually. Solo and twin-sharing room options are typically both available.

Each tour page lists exact inclusions — typically accommodation, transport during the tour, a tour manager, sightseeing per the itinerary, and select meals. Anything not listed (personal shopping, optional excursions, tips) is extra, and we make sure that's clear before you book, not as a surprise mid-trip.

What happens if the tour doesn't get enough people to run?

Accepted Answer

In the rare case a tour doesn't reach minimum group size, we'll tell you in advance — not at the last minute — and you'll get a full refund or the option to switch to another available date or package.
